May 23, 2022 | 8:15 PM

May 23, 2022 – The Macon County Conservation District will again host a free, outdoor summer concert series. These live, acoustic music concerts will be held on select Sundays in June, July, and August from 7-8pm.

This year’s lineup includes past favorites and new acts from across Central Illinois, playing a mix of country, Americana, and folk music:

Keeping with tradition, our friends Cactus Ranch will open the series on Sunday, June 5 with bluegrass and country favorites. On Sunday, June 12 we welcome the Hood Family Band. Sunday, June 26 brings acoustic duo, The Tangents.

Moving into July, Stone & Snow will perform some alt-rock and indie folk tunes on Sunday, July 10. The Deep Hollow will stop by on Sunday, July 24 with some acoustic Americana. Finally, the series will wrap up on Sunday, August 7 with Seth Cocquit of Harvest Sons.

This year, the concerts will be held on the East Lawn of Rock Springs Nature Center next to the Information Shelter, as weather permits. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket.

In case of rain, any concerts will have to be moved into the Auditorium located inside of the Rock Springs Nature Center.

The Rock Springs Summer Concert Series is generously sponsored by Stifel Investment Services of Decatur, IL.

All of the concerts are free and open to all ages. No pre-registration or tickets required. For more information about the Rock Springs Summer Concert Series, and additional public programs, visit MaconCountyConservation.org.
