May 27, 2022 – The Decatur Public Library is hosting a summer kick-off event in Central Park. The event last year was social distanced and unique in its own way, but the library is excited to host it in person this year.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. With no roads being closed off, the library asks participants to please park in the library parking lot. Decatur Auxillary officers will be ready to assist attendees crossing Franklin St.
Along with fun reading activities, the event will also host a prize drawing. Some of the prizes include a family fun pack from Scovill Zoo, Target gift cards, a Kindle Fire 7, $50 gift certificates for Millikin Arts classes and more!
