July 26, 2022 – The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is hosting a back-to-school event on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Macon County students and their families will be able to receive vaccines needed to enter into kindergarten, sixth, and twelfth grade; a lead test; and/or a COVID-19 vaccine/booster for the entire family (6 months and older).
Appointments are not required to attend this event. However, the event will work on a first-come, first-served basis. If a person is not able to attend this event, please call 217-423-6988 ext. 1100 to schedule an appointment.
The MCHD encourages those needing the required back-to-school vaccines to not wait until the school’s denial date. The MCHD is considered a health care facility and masks are required in our building.
