August 3, 2022 – The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is hosting a back-to-school event on Saturday, August 6, 2022. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the health department located at 1221 E. Condit St., Decatur, IL.
Macon County students and their families will be able to receive vaccines needed to enter into kindergarten, 6th, and 12thgrade; a lead test; and/or a COVID-19 vaccine/booster for the entire family (6 months and older). Parents or guardians are being asked to please bring insurance cards or records if possible.
Appointments are not required to attend this event. However, the event will work on a first-come, first-served basis. If a person is not able to attend this event, please call 217-423-6988 ext. 1100 to schedule an appointment. The MCHD encourages those needing the required back-to-school vaccines to not wait until the school’s denial date.
