August 10th, 2022- My name is Traymar brown, and I am a student at MacArthur High School. I am going into my senior year and I am also an athlete who plays basketball for the school.
I am a part of our school’s choir, and I have been selected to the concert choir, which is a choir that travels and performs.
I am interested in law enforcement and our criminal justice system. I would like to study to get a degree in law and become a defense attorney.
My hobbies include playing the piano, drawing, singing, of course, and anything music related because I love all types of music.
I am interested in the DCLI program because it helps us get involved in things that help us learn things that we usually wouldn’t learn in school.
Things such as public speaking skills, leadership skills, how to appeal to a group, and how to work together effectively so that the desired goal is accomplished. As well as manifesting things you want to happen in your life, how to plan events, networking, and first impressions. These are all important things that are useful skills to have in life and we don’t learn them in school often.
Some highlights of DCLI are the great people you get to meet, the cool things we get to do like the police simulator (which is very high tech), the internships which help you gain real work experience, and really the connections that you make along the way.
I hope to learn more tips on how to make good first impressions on people to help me be remembered. Also I’d like to learn how to make my answers/questions during interviews go smoothly so it sounds natural.
