August 16, 2022 – Macon County Clerk Josh Tanner announced that all registered voters in Macon County will receive an application for vote-by-mail in compliance with Illinois State Statute 10 ILCS 5/19-2.5.

Voters who wish to vote by mail may use the application to request their ballot for this election only or all future elections. Voters continue to have the option to early vote in the County Clerk’s Office or vote on Election Day at their polling place.

Ballots will be mailed to applicants beginning September 29, which is also the first day of early voting. The deadline to apply for a vote by mail ballot is November 3. Ballots must be postmarked no later than November 8 to be accepted, and properly postmarked ballots will be accepted through November 22.
