September 6, 2022 – The United Way of Decatur & Mid-Illinois is partnering with The Community Foundation of Macon County, Crossing Healthcare, Central Illinois Foodbank, and Neuhoff Media for a drive-up food box distribution event.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, the first 500 families to stop by Fairview Park will receive one box of prepackaged food and one ham. Packages will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and no walk-ups will be allowed. Volunteers from the Community Foundation’s Young Leaders in Action program will be present to load boxes and distribute educational materials to recipients.
