
September 13, 2022 – Decatur Family YMCA will host a new fundraiser event, “Sprint for a Cause: Indoor Sprint Triathlon” on Saturday, September 24. The event features a 400-yard pool swim, a 7-mile spin cycle bike ride, and a 2-mile treadmill run. The event will be held indoors at Decatur Family YMCA at 220 W. McKinley Ave in Decatur.

This triathlon event features sprint distances, making it ideal for athletes of all ages and abilities and the perfect race for new triathletes or anyone interested in training for a full triathlon. Participants can register as an individual or a team. 100% of registration costs contribute to the YMCA’s annual campaign fund, which provides scholarships and programming that directly responds to community needs.
Participants will receive an event t-shirt and medal, with awards given to the fastest overall time for youth under 18, adults, and teams.

Thanks to a federal grant awarded to the Macon-Piatt Regional Office of Education, registration costs for any middle or high school student in Macon County will be paid by the ROE. Students are asked to register using discount code YISPRINT22.
