October 6, 2022 – Thanks to a federal grant awarded to the Macon Piatt Regional Office of Education, community agencies including Crossing Healthcare, Decatur Family YMCA, the Salvation Army, and Webster Cantrell Youth Advocacy, are partnering for a series called “Keeping Our Kids Safe.”  This is a series that focuses on students’ physical and mental health, security, and safety.

In the latest series, The Macon Piatt Regional Office of Education is hosting an upcoming parent/community night with Michael DeLeon. He is the founder of Steered Straight Inc, an organization that teaches the realities of substance abuse and gang involvement and the inevitable consequences of making negative life choices. Find out more about Michael DeLeon HERE.

The event open to ALL parents and community members on October 13th from 6:00-7:30pm at Johns Hill Magnet School Auditorium. A Live stream of the event can be found HERE on October 13th.
