Fall Harvest Festival coming to Rock Springs October 22

October 11, 2022 – The Macon County Conservation District invites all ages to the Fall Harvest Festival at Rock Springs Conservation Area on Saturday, October 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Enjoy fun activities in celebration of the fall harvest season. Activities include 3-D archery, canoeing, pumpkin painting, a scavenger hunt, wagon rides, and more. Homestead Prairie Farm, along with its’ woodworking shop and gardens, will be open for free tours.

There will also be vintage games for children and adults in the yard, and an area to check out some archaeology work taking place at the site. The Macon County Conservation Foundation will be offering concessions for purchase. Canoe rentals, archery, and pumpkin painting will be offered for $3/person. All other activities are free.

Rock Springs Conservation Area is located on the southwestern edge of Decatur. To get to Rock Springs from Decatur, go south on Route 48 and turn west onto Rock Springs Road or go south on Wyckles Road and turn east onto Rock Springs Road. Watch for signs. Plenty of parking is available.
