November 7, 2022 – This year, the Northeast Community Fund will hold its annual Thanksgiving Basket Distribution from November 14 through November 22.
Donations will be collected at their facility located at 839 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Decatur. NECF released a list of items they especially need:
- Instant potatoes
- Instant stuffing
- Canned corn
- String beans
- Sweet potatoes
- Cranberry sauce
- Turkey gravy
- Bisquick or cornbread mixes
- Pie Crust Mix and filling
- Turkey
- Ham
Those who wish to donate can go to the mentioned address at the following times:
- Monday, November 14 – Friday, November 18. 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday, November 19. 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Monday, November 21. 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 22. 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. AND 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
This Thanksgiving, Northeast Community Fund will distribute 4,000 food baskets, benefiting those impacted by food insecurity this holiday season.
