November 8, 2022 – HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital has opened up donations to the public to include names of loved ones as part of their Star Lighting Ceremony on December 1 at 6:30 p.m. The donations will be open until November 18.

“This event and the meaning behind it has become a favorite tradition of mine, as it is for many in our community,” said Julie Moore, executive director of philanthropy, advocacy and community relations. “This is a great way to honor your loved ones and keep their memory alive.”
Each light on the star that sits atop the hospital honors a loved one. A ceremony filled with music and prayer will precede the lighting of the star.
