November 9, 2022 – There will be a Candlelight Tour at Rock Springs Conservation Area on Saturday, November 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This open house event invites all community members to experience the 1860s as you walk through the home of the Homestead Prairie Farm. Refreshments will be served and the event is free for all ages.
Homestead Prairie Farm is a living history site that portrays rural Illinois in the 1860s. Built around the historic Trobaugh-Good House, the site includes an heirloom vegetable garden, herb garden, and a woodworking shop. Homestead Prairie Farm is open for tours every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. from June to October.

Rock Springs Conservation Area is located on the southwestern edge of Decatur. To get to Rock Springs from Decatur, go south on Route 48 and turn west onto Rock Springs Road, or go south on Wyckles Road and turn east onto Rock Springs Road. Watch for signs. Plenty of parking is available.
