Downtown Decatur Christmas Walk to light up streets December 7

December 6, 2022 – The annual Downtown Decatur Christmas Walk will welcome the holiday season on Wednesday, December 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Merchant Street and the 100 block of East Prairie Street will be closed to traffic and filled with picnic tables for community members to relax with a snack or drink. Santa Claus will visit the Transfer House in Central Park.

Decatur Area Arts Council

  • 5:00 – 5:45 p.m., Maroa-Forsyth High School Band Musicians
  • 6:00 – 6:45 p.m., DYSO Quartet
  • 7:00 – 7:45 p.m., Millikin Piano Studio Musicians

Hickory Point Bank

  • 5:00 – 5:45 p.m., Millikin Community Cello Choir
  • 6:00 – 6:45 p.m., Second Wind Flute Choir
  • Frozen Characters Elsa, Anna and Olaf
