According to Hollywood Unlocked's Jason Lee, Rihanna gave the photos to the “black media” so that they could have it before paparazzi could publish unathorized pics. Lee said, “Since the new photos of ASAP and Rihanna’s baby is out let me tell you how this happened. Yesterday she FaceTimed me to tell me that paparazzi took unauthorized photos of their baby and planned to release them. So she said if anyone was going to put it out she wanted me to.” She added, “She wanted BLACK MEDIA to be the one to do it since she wasn’t going to be given the choice. First, I’m honored they would trust me and kinda sad it had to be that way. I wish they were given the choice. Kids are off limits here at HU. I guess some folks don’t care.” Rihanna and ASAP welcomed their son on May 12th, 2022.

Savage reporteldy shared a photo of a baby girl, along with the caption, “Ava Lee Kelly 12.08.22.” She also wrote, “My baby girl Ava when you were born , my whole world shined so bright.
