April 24, 2024 – The City of Decatur has announced that battery recycling is now available at the Decatur Civic Center main lobby.
The City has partnered with the Macon County Community Environmental Council (CEC) to support battery recycling in our community. Recycling batteries helps to protect groundwater and keep batteries out of landfills.

– Mt. Zion Public Library
– Kenney’s ACE Hardware on Rt. 121
– Macon County Farm Bureau (1150 W. Pershing Ave.)
– Macon County Extension Office (3351 N. President Howard Brown Blvd.)
