May 24, 2023 – Amanda Honn, area director of Catholic Charities and Bruce Huber of First Illinois Ag joined Byers & Co for the Hickory Point Bank “Community Invested” segment.
The mission of Catholic Charities is “To extend to all the healing and empowering presence of Jesus”. Catholic Charities is the local provider of Meals on Wheels. They also operate a food pantry and mobile food pantry as well as a resale store locally.
Hickory Point Bank continues to invest in Catholic Charities by providing unrestricted funds for all Catholic Charities program operations, as well as actively sponsoring their annual fundraiser every year.
Bruce Huber of First Illinois Ag is a board member and past President of the Catholic Charities board.
“Unfortunately, there are many people at risk who do not have the ability to cover their needs. Catholic Charities helps fill a void in food insecurity and various health needs.”
