May 25, 2023 – Millikin student Sydney Griggs and Dr. Anne Rodriguez joined Byers & Co to talk about a chemistry and biology camp Millikin is hosting.
Millikin is hosting its annual Chemistry & Biochemistry Camp for high school and junior high students on campus from Monday, July 10-Friday, July 14.
The camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at the Leighty-Tabor Science Center, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Students get to explore chemistry topics and skills during the hands-on camp on the Millikin University campus.
The week-long camp includes:
· Hands-on laboratory science
· Preparations for scholarship-ready science projects
· Thursday evening features a demonstration dinner for families & teachers
Costs for High School Students:
· Commuter: $500 per camper with lunch provided daily
· Overnight: $900 per camper. Students stay in Millikin University Housing Monday-Wednesday as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner and evening activities.
Costs for Junior High Students:
· $500 per camper with lunch provided daily
Scholarships are possibly available for those with financial need.
