May 30, 2023 – Theatre 7 will hold a Diamond Jubilee in celebration of 60 years of entertainment on Saturday, June 24th.
Created in December 1963, Theatre 7 is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that combines the talents of many community members to produce local theatre.
To celebrate their long history, the theatre organization is holding a Diamond Jubilee on Saturday, June 24th. This event will include a showcase of iconic songs and dances from the group’s repertoire, a silent auction (featuring items like an AirBNB stay, Cardinals/Cubs tickets, and more), and heavy hors d’oeuvres/cash bar.
The Diamond Jubilee will be held on the third floor of the Decatur Club. Cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the entertainment starting at 7:30 p.m. Limited seating is available. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at theatre7.org.
All funds raised from this event will go towards Theatre 7’s building fund. Currently, the group is raising money to finish the work on the final two portions of their roof. The first part was fixed through more than $10,000 in community donations.
