June 5, 2023 – Holding on to old documents because the need to be shredded? The Macon County Environmental Management Department is holding a paper shredding event Saturday, June 24th, 2023.
The event will be held at the Macon County Environmental Management Recycle Center located at 1750 N. 21st Street in Decatur from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This is a free event for residents only. No documents from business will be accepted.
Residents can bring up to 5 boxes/bags of paper documents to be shredded on site, then recycled at Midwest Fiber. Environmental management is asking that participants remove all binder clips, paper clips, and staples prior to bringing files to be shredded.
