June 12, 2023 – The Macon County Conservation District will hold an open house at Rock Springs Nature Center on Wednesday, June 14, for local outdoors-lovers to give feedback on a proposed classroom addition.
“We’re very excited about this project and this new addition to our Nature Center,” said the Conservation District’s Marketing Specialist, Ashton Nunn, in an email. “It’s going to be an amazing new asset that will help us make our program experience even better for our community.”
Attendees will be able to view blueprints of the proposed indoor-outdoor space, ask questions about the plans and provide feedback. The open house will begin at 5 p.m.
To get to Rock Springs from Decatur, go south on IL-Route 48 and turn west onto Rock Springs Road. Alternatively, head south on Wyckles Road and turn east onto Rock Springs Road. Watch for signs advertising the event.
