July 10, 2023 – A day camp that gives kids a real “rock and roll experience” will return this year for it’s 10th anniversary at Millikin University.
The First Gig Rock N Roll Camp is a day-camp that offers the fundamentals of Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Recording, Marketing, and Performance for kids ages 10-17.
The camp will take place at Perkinson Music Center at Millikin University from July 17th – 21st.
At the camp, participants will learn how to work together and operate as a fully functioning band. After the camp concludes, campers will perform a final show for the public on July 22 at noon at the Decatur Civic Center. Following the performance, campers will have a chance to meet their “fans” and sign autographs.
