Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic returning to Decatur for 25th year

July 25, 2023 – The annual Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic, a USTA Pro Circuit tournament, is set to return to Decatur for its 25th year.

Balls will fly at the Fairview Tennis Center starting Monday, July 31 with rounds being played throughout the week and ending on Saturday, August 6. Over 70 players from across the world participate annually for professional ranking points and $25,000 in prize money. Tournament winners have gone on to compete at all four Grand Slam tournaments and top-ranked players across the world.

The public is encouraged to attend and watch potential future pros play throughout the week. The tournament is coordinated by a local nonprofit, the Decatur Community Tennis Foundation, and is sponsored by the Darrell and Ursula Beck family. The tournament kicks off with first qualifying round of the men’s singles tournament beginning at 9 a.m. on July 31, and the week wraps up with the men’s singles final at noon on August 6.
