Billie Eilish says she and Jesse Rutherford are still on good terms following their split in May after less than a year of dating. During an Instagram Story fan Q&A on Saturday, someone asked where the two currently stand. “Very very good friends,” Eilish wrote. “Only anatomical heart emoji. My homie forever.” Another fan later asked is the pop star is currently dating anybody new. “NO SIRRRRRRR,” she replied with three smiling emojis and a selfie.
Eilish and Rutherford, best known as the frontman for The Neighbourhood, were first linked when they were seen making out during a Los Angeles date in October of 2022. Fans were immediately critical of their 10-year age gap. Eilish later said she was “really happy and excited” to be with Rutherford and called him the “hottest f—ing f—er alive.”
