Lead guitarist Craig Chaquico's love song “Find Your Way Back” was the first single from the Jefferson Starship album Modern Times. It reached Number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Modern Times album was the second effort by the reconstituted Jefferson Starship. Following the departures of singers Grace Slick and Marty Balin and drummer John Barbata in 1978, the Starship had signed on former Elvin Bishop vocalist Mickey Thomas and recruited Aynsley Dunbar, formerly of David Bowie's Spiders From Mars, to fill the drum chair.
After undergoing detox for alcoholism, Slick rejoined the Starship in the final days of recording for Modern Times, but she's not on “Find Your Way Back.”
Modern Times reached Number 26 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold.
