September 18, 2023 -The Decatur Park District and the Decatur Macon County Senior Center plan to combine facilities and services at the Scovill Activity Center beginning November 1st, 2023.
Effective November 1st, all programs, activities, and services offered by both the Decatur Park District and the Decatur Macon County Senior Center for seniors will now be located under one roof at the Scovill Activity Center located at 3909 W Main St in Decatur. This consolidation will reduce operational costs and allow more funding to go directly to the programs and services provided to seniors in Decatur.
Once fully relocated on November 1st, the programs and services currently offered at the Decatur Macon County Senior Center will now be offered at the Scovill Activity Center. This includes all senior activities, senior assistance appointments, health screenings, daily congregate meals, and special events. The full-time staff of the Decatur Macon County Senior Center will also transition to the Park District.

We look forward to expanding opportunities for seniors at the Scovill Activity Center and carrying on the great work of the Decatur Macon County Senior Center. They have provided outstanding services to the seniors in our community for the last four decades.”
