September 18, 2023 -Cartha Foley, RN, Memorial Specialty Care Gastroenterology at Decatur Memorial Hospital, has been named the Memorial Health Ambulatory Group Colleague of the Month for August.
Foley works as the lead nurse in the gastroenterology department and is known as a “walking encyclopedia” when it comes to procedures, tests, and lab results. She assists others when needed, communicates effectively with people at all levels, and is proactive about learning new skills and processes and encouraging others to do the same.
Her bedside nursing manner is also highly regarded by patients.
“Cartha’s patient experience skills are exemplary,” wrote one nominator. “She is the nicest nurse I’ve spoken with. She was very patient and answered all my questions.”
Foley has worked for Memorial Health since 2016.
