October 30, 2023 – The Illinois Department of Transportation and the City of Decatur need your input for the Business Route 51 Study.
IDOT is inviting residents to attend an open house meeting this Thursday, November 2nd regarding the proposed roadway improvements along Main & Water Streets (Business Route 51) from Eldorado St. to Pershing Rd. There will be no presentation, just an opportunity to provide input. The open house will be held from 4m to 7pm at Main Street Church of the Living God at 2000 N Main St. in Decatur.
IDOT, in conjunction with the City of Decatur, is studying various roadway improvements along the routes and beautification of the surrounding area.
Attendees can come and go at anytime during the scheduled meeting hours, examine the exhibits, provide input, and speak with IDOT representatives. The City will again have a food truck providing food. Once citizens get through all stations, they will receive a voucher for food.
