November 12, 2023 – An African serval cat who has been on the loose in Macon County since mid-October has been found and captured.
The Macon County Animal Control and Care Center stated on Facebook that the cat was captured on Saturday in an area between Forsyth and Maroa.
Animal Control said that the cat will remain in their custody for the time being and will not be euthanized. Animal Control stated legal issues regarding its possession are being addressed.
