November 14, 2023 – Macon Resources is seeking individuals or businesses to participate in the annual Secret Santa program.
MRI needs help providing gifts to over 80 individuals with developmental disabilities who live in their group homes or independently in the community. MRI owns and operates 9 group homes in Decatur, with 4-8 people in each home. In addition to group homes, MRI provides support and services to people with developmental disabilities living independently.
There are two ways to get involved with this program. Santas can purchase gifts for one individual, or they can donate money to MRI, and they will shop for you. MRI asks that Santas buy a minimum of two presents and spend at least $50 per individual.
“Secret Santa is one of my favorite programs of the year,” says Amy Bliefnick, President/CEO of Macon Resources. “We were blessed with an outpouring of support last year, and it truly made the holidays memorable. For the people we serve, just knowing that someone is thinking of them and wishing them a Merry Christmas is impactful. We are so excited to expand this program to impact even more of the people we serve this year.”
