Forbes named Taylor Swift as the world’s fifth most powerful woman, her highest-ever ranking in the annual ranking, and the top-ranking musician. She was only out-ranked by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at No. 1, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde at No. 2, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris at No. 3 and Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni at No. 4. Forbes estimates Swift's current net worth at $1.1 billion, but also says she's the first musician to “make the ranks solely based on her songs and performances.” Other musicians on the list include Beyonce at No. 36 and Rihanna at No. 74. In June, all three women were named on Forbes‘ list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, which places Rihanna at No. 20, Swift at No. 34 and Beyonce at No. 48.
