December 7, 2023 – The local Scouting council is holding a “Dueling Pianos for Scouting” fundraiser on December 12th at the Children’s Museum of Illinois to raise funds for the advancement of local Scouting initiatives and youth development programs.
“Dueling Pianos for Scouting promises an unforgettable experience filled with lively melodies, engaging performances, and a shared commitment to empower the next generation of leaders within the Scouting community,” the Scouts said in a release.
Attendees will be treated to a showcase of two pianists engaging in a friendly musical rivalry that will include timeless classics to modern hits, sing-alongs, and more.
“We’re excited to host ‘Dueling Pianos for Scouting,’ an event that celebrates music while supporting our local scouts,” said David Lane, Assistant Director of Field Service with the local Scouts. “It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy fantastic music, and contribute to a cause that fosters leadership, camaraderie, and skill-building among young Scouts.”
The event will take place on Tuesday December 12 at the Children’s Museum of Illinois. Cocktail hour begins at 6:30 with dueling pianos starting at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased online HERE. All proceeds from the event directly support Scouting activities and educational opportunities.
