Conservation Foundation to host Rock Springs Ramble run/walk event in May

February 21, 2024 – Rock springs is set to hold the 4th annual 5k event to raise funds for natural areas and wildfire. 

Rock Springs encourages participants to come run or walk in the Rock Springs Ramble 5K, 1-Mile “Fun Run”/Walk. There is a virtual option as well for both the 5K and the 1-Mile. The Rock Springs Ramble will be held May 18.  

Race packets and race swag will be available beginning May 17. Those registered for the 5K will receive a finisher’s medal, t-shirt, and a tote bag. Hand-painted wildlife rocks (created by local artist Sheryl Polley) will be awarded to the top three 5K finishers in each age group, and the top ten in the 1-Mile. Children registered for the Kids’ “Fun Run” will receive a tree cookie medal and a nature prize. 

All registrants 21 and older will also receive a meal and a drink from the post-race mimosa bar, provided by Door 4 Brewing Co., as part of their race registration. Additional drinks will be available for purchase. Registration is $35 for the in-person and the virtual 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, and $10 for the Kids’ Fun Run. Online and race day registration will be available. 

This fundraiser supports the Macon County Conservation Foundation.
