March 6th, 2024 – Each summer, the Jerry J.Dawson Civic Leadership Institute hosts a summer paid internship program for high school students with various community organizations and companies in Decatur. An informational meeting about all this year’s opportunities will be held March 18th, 2024, from 6pm – 7pm at 1210 S. Jasper St.
Previous company and organization placements have included:

- Northeast Community Fund
- Childrens Museum of Illinois
- Brinkoetter Realty
- YMCA
The paid internships are 8 weeks long and include opportunities for students to earn hands-on experiences and professional development.
