Macon County Health Department offering stress-busting dementia program for caregivers

March 28, 2024 – The Starting Point Division of the Macon County Health Department is set to launch a Stress-Busting Dementia Program tailored to family caregivers of individuals coping with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. The program aims to help caregivers with essential stress management techniques, relaxation methods, and coping strategies, all provided at no cost. 

The program will begin April 3rd and conclude on May 29th. The program will consist of nine weekly sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. Groups of up to eight individuals will convene at the Macon County Health Department located at 1221 E. Condit St. In Decatur every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
