April 16, 2024 – The University of Illinois Extension’s Master Gardener Plant Sale will be held at the Macon County Fairgrounds on May 4 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Shoppers can browse a variety of plants, such as annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, and hanging baskets, and the bargain shed will offer gently used gardening supplies. Master Naturalists will also have native plants on hand and will be available for plant consultations. Cash, check, and credit card donations are accepted for plants.
The Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the University of Illinois Extension. Master Gardeners fulfill their mission of “Helping Others Learn to Grow” by volunteering their horticulture skills through community gardening projects and educational outreach.
