April 17, 2024 – The Macon County Conservation District is hosting a presentation on bats at the Rock Springs Nature Center to celebrate Bat Appreciation Day on April 20th.
The event will be held from 7-8pm. The program will be held at Rock Springs Nature Center located at 3939 Nearing Lane in Decatur, Illinois. People will learn about native bat species, what they do in the winter, what makes them special, and learn about their crucial role in the ecosystem. There will also be a chance to go outside and try to find some using sonar location. Register online for the event HERE.
