Mt. Zion Ministerial Alliance and DMH Partner with ImpactLife for Upcoming Blood Drives.

June 3rd, 2024 -The Mt. Zion Ministerial Alliance and Decatur Memorial Hospital are teaming up with ImpactLife to host community blood drives in June. 

The Mt. Zion Ministerial Alliance community blood drive will be Monday, June 10, from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Antioch Christian Church Fellowship Hall located at 5409 E US 36 in Decatur. All donors will receive a gift card, a donation to Best Friends Animal Society, or bonus points for the Donor Rewards Store. 

The Decatur Memorial Hospital community blood Drive will be Tuesday, June 4, from 9:00  am to 2:00 pm located at Classroom C, 2300 North Edward Street in  Decatur. Donors will receive an ImpactLife Incentive Voucher, redeemable for an e-gift card ($20 for whole blood, $25 for double reds) to Target, Amazon, Walmart, Lowe’s, Olive Garden, or for bonus points in the online Rewards Store.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission form available at www.bloodcenter.org), weigh over 110 pounds, and present a photo I.D. Those who last donated blood on or before April 9 (for the June 4 drive) or April 15 (for the June 10 drive) are eligible to donate again. For eligibility questions, contact ImpactLife at (800) 747-5401. 

The donation process takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour and is safe and straightforward. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may still be eligible to donate. 

ImpactLife supplies blood products and services to over 125 hospitals and Emergency Medical Services across Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin, including Decatur Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital.  For more information, click HERE.
