Impactlife’s Decatur regional distribution hub at 151 W. Main St has served as the primary blood provider for HSHS St. Mary’s and Decatur Memorial for 14 years. Blood, which is provided by donors, is used in all types of life saving transfusions from neonatal needs to emergency medical situations.

The organization stared providing blood to HSHS St. Mary’s in 2021 and then for DMH in 2014. ImpactLife opened it’s Decatur Donor Center is 2021. Over the years, it extended into Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin, and in 2021, became known as ImpactLife.

Kirby Winn, Director of Public Relations for Impact Life said the need for blood never goes away. “There is always a demand for blood. As a matter of fact, our organization was able to ship some blood to Houston to areas affected by Hurricane Beryl earlier this week thanks to those donations.”
