July 9, 2024 – ADM and the Beautify Decatur Coalition celebrated the completion of the ADM Decatur Railcar Facility fence mural project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
ADM partnered with the Beautify Decatur Coalition to install a mural along the fencing in front of the ADM Decatur Railcar Yard. The corn row fence mural is part of Beautify Decatur Coalition’s efforts to revitalize the 22nd Street corridor. During the project, volunteers installed white cups for sections of the fence, then filled in other colors throughout the mural design.
Kimberly Wright, ADM customer service representative and Beautify Decatur member/volunteers said the 22nd corridor is important to ADM. “I think this project has made this area bright and cheerful. It’s such a great thing to come down 22nd street and see this pop of color and really see how we care about the city and how we want to see the city look better.”
