July 17, 2024 –Sunshine Supplies for Teachers, along with Big Hungry’s Daylight Donuts and Country Financial – Jeff Boyer, will host a 5K & Donut Dash Fun Run at Forsyth Park on July 28, 2024, to support local educators.
The event includes four races: a timed 5K, a 1-mile walk/run, a half-mile kids run, and a 1-mile Donut Dash Fun Run. Participants in the Donut Dash must eat a donut halfway through the race. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, swag bag, and refreshments.
Additional activities include a donut-themed costume contest, giveaways, and a “Pack the Bus” school supply drive. Each school supply item donated earns a raffle ticket for prizes. Food and beverages from Big Hungry’s Daylight Donuts, 121 Coffee, and Kona Ice will be available, with 20% of Kona Ice’s profits donated to Sunshine Supplies.
Sunshine Supplies for Teachers is a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential supplies to teachers and schools in the Macon-Piatt Regional Office of Education #39, covering 12 school districts and serving over 20,200 students.
