The Macon County Health Department to host back-to-school events

July 18, 2024 – Starting July 30th through August 23rd, Macon County Health Department will be hosting back-to-school events. All Macon County students are welcome to attend and will have access to age/grade appropriate vaccinations, physicals, lead testing, dental and vision screenings on select dates.

These events are walk-in only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Below is a list of upcoming events and the services provided at each event. 

Tuesday, July 30th, School vaccines, lead testing, and physicals in the mobile unit will be available 9:00 A.M.–3:00 P.M.  8:30–11:30 A.M.  and 1:00–3:30 P.M. 

Friday, August 2nd , School vaccines, lead testing, and dental screenings will be available 8:30–11:30 A.M. and 1:00–3:30 P.M. 

Saturday, August 3rd , School vaccines, lead testing, and dental screenings will be available 9:00 A.M.–1:00 P.M. 

Tuesday, August 6th, Physicals (K, 6th, & 9th grade) will be available 1:00–3:00 P.M. Those getting physicals can receive vaccines, vision screening, and lead testing. 

Tuesday, August 20th, School vaccines, lead testing, and physicals in the mobile unit will be available 9:00 A.M.–3:00 P.M. 8:30–11:30 A.M. and 1:00–3:30 P.M 

Friday, August 23rd, Physicals (K, 6th, & 9th grade) will be available 1:00–3:30 P.M. Those getting physicals can receive vaccines, vision screening, and lead testing. 

*Parents and Guardians: Please bring an insurance card and records, if possible.
