The YDSC Gators swim team made program history with an outstanding performance at the YMCA Illinois State Championship this past weekend. The returned to Decatur as the Overall Team Champions in the medium team size division.
This historic victory includes several prestigious titles:
- Overall Team Champion
- Overall Boys Team Champion
- Overall Girls Team Champion
- Team Champion in the following age groups: 21U Boys, 21U Girls, 14U Boys, 14U Girls, 12U Boys, and 10U Boys
“We are incredibly proud of our YDSC Gators swim team,” said Lauren Nesbitt, Director of Competitive Swimming at Decatur Family YMCA and Gators Head Coach. “Their commitment to excellence and perseverance has brought them to this outstanding achievement.
