July 24, 2024 – The Illinois State Fair is providing two more opportunities for attendees to save money on tickets for various events by offering extended box office hours and discounted prices.
The Grandstand Box Office will be open for in-person ticket purchases on Thursday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with regular hours being Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online through Ticketmaster, but buying directly at the box office helps avoid additional fees.
In addition to concert tickets, the box office will also sell tickets for various events at The Arena, such as the Illinois State Fair Rodeo, ITPA Truck and Tractor Pulls, Demolition Derby, USAC Silver Crown Racing Series, and ARCA Super Series.
Mega Passes and Jumbo Passes are available at discounted rates until July 31 at the Emmerson Building. The Mega Pass is priced at $80, while the Jumbo Pass, which includes the Giant Slide, is $90. Prices for both passes will increase by $20 starting August 1. Additionally, Admission Booklets and Seasonal Infield Parking Passes are available at reduced rates. Rebecca Clark, Illinois State Fair Manager, urged families to take advantage of these discounts to make the most of the summer fair experience.
For those who have already purchased a Mega Pass or Jumbo Pass, picking them up at the Emmerson Building can help avoid long lines during the fair. The building will have extended hours on Thursday, July 25, and Saturday, July 27, for added convenience.
The Illinois State Fair runs from August 8 through August 18 in Springfield.
