Grant Wade joins Heart of Illinois Community Foundation as Advisor for Moultrie County

August 4, 2024 – Grant Wade of Sullivan, IL has joined the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation
in the role of Philanthropic Advisor for Moultrie County, effective August 5. In this role, Wade is
responsible for leading outreach in Moultrie County, working to match local needs to philanthropic
resources.

“We are excited to have Grant join our team,” said HICF CEO Natalie Beck. “We make giving locally easy
and offer personalized service. To offer that level of service, our HICF team members live in the counties
we serve. Grant brings passion for his community, has excellent communication and facilitation skills,
and has a love for serving the people in Moultrie County. He will lead and implement local programmatic
strategies and grantmaking.”

Wade comes to the HICF with more than 13 years of experience in various service roles within the
Moultrie County community holding positions such as Commissioner on the City Council, President of
the Sullivan Community Education Foundation, President of Sullivan Youth Rec League Sports, and Board Member for Moultrie County Habitat for Humanity and Sullivan Chamber and Economic Development.

He currently serves as a Pastor of a vibrant church community in Sullivan. Wade grew up in Galesburg
and graduated with a BA and MDiv from Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln. Just recently, Wade
completed his Doctoral Degree (DMin) in Contextual Theology from Northern Seminary in Lisle. Wade
lives in Sullivan with his wife, Erin, and their three children: Gavin, Emery, and Sawyer.

meaningful partnerships and drive positive change,” says, Wade. “The chance to work with HICF aligns
with my passion for community development and charitable giving.”
