August 5, 2024 – Kirkland Fine Ats Center and Millikin University’s College of Fine Arts announce the 2024-25 season for the Decatur and Central Illinois community. This season includes magic, live theatre, musical performances, community collaborations, and world-class productions.
The season begins on Saturday, September 14, at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by magician Jason Hudy. On Saturday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m., Artrageous will feature live painting, music, and dance. Vespers will have choral performances on December 7-8. The Cherry Poppin’ Daddies will perform on January 25, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
The Silhouettes, America’s Got Talent Finalists, will perform on February 7, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Alice in Wonderland, Jr. will be staged from March 21-23, 2025, in collaboration with the Decatur Park District. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be performed from April 11-13, 2025, with collaboration from Millikin’s School of Theatre & Dance, the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, and Kirkland Fine Arts Center. The season concludes with ABBA LA on May 10, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
Additional events include classical and contemporary music concerts, plays, and operas at various venues. These include the annual Percussion Ensemble: Halloween! concert, a staged reading of Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun”, and the Celtic Salute concert.
Bryan Diver, director of Kirkland Fine Arts Center, stated that the decision to include magician Jason Hudy was influenced by community requests.

Vespers tickets go on sale on November 5, 2024. Friends of Kirkland receive up to 25% off tickets and early access to Vespers tickets.
Tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the ticket office (Tuesday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Discounts are available for children, seniors, veterans, Millikin and Richland faculty, staff, and students. Group purchases of 10 or more tickets receive a 10% discount.
