September 4, 2024 – ImpactLife will host multiple community blood drives throughout September at various locations in Decatur.
The blood drives will be held at the following locations and times:
City of Decatur Community Blood Drive
When: Wednesday, September 18, 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: Donor Bus, One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, IL
HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Community Blood Drive
When: Wednesday, September 18, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where: Assisi Room, 1800 East Lake Shore Drive, Decatur, IL
Macon County Farm Bureau Community Blood Drive
When: Saturday, September 14, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Where: Auditorium, 1150 W Pershing Rd., Decatur, IL
Montessori Academy of Peace Community Blood Drive
When: Monday, September 16, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: Donor Bus, 4735 E Cantrell St, Decatur, IL
All presenting donors will receive a gift card, a donation to Make-A-Wish® Illinois, or bonus points to use in the donor reward store. Donors are encouraged to make appointments by contacting ImpactLife at (800) 747-5401 or by visiting www.bloodcenter.org and using the appropriate code for each drive.
Donor eligibility criteria require participants to be at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is necessary for donation. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to an hour, and individuals with controlled diabetes or high blood pressure may still be eligible to donate.
