September 5, 2024 – Cynthia Walker, a patient care technician, is the Decatur Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month for August.
Walker is meticulous about the care she provides patients on the cardiac unit. Her nominator noted that Walker is always sure to pick up trays, stocks needed items if she has free time and makes sure her patient rooms are clean.
“Cynthia is just a phenomenal human being,” wrote one of her nominators. “She always gives the best, most efficient care to her patients. She is always there with a helping hand. She takes pride in knowing her patients feel clean and smell good, especially understanding that patients don’t always feel at their best.”
Walker has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2000.
