September 11, 2024 – Decatur Illinois Pride will host its annual PrideFest this Saturday, September 14th.
The family-friendly event, which will be held from 11 am to 8 pm at the Fairview Park Pavillion, will include music and live entertainment, a drag show, and special guest appearances. The event will also have a Pet Pride contest, with winners in three categories; best pet in pride gear, best pet and owner costume, and best trick. Registration at 11:45am and the contest will begin at noon.
The event will also feature the Annual “Voice of Decatur” singing contest finals. Qualifiers from events earlier in the month will compete at 5pm.
The event will close with a drag show featuring Mystique Summers from Season 2 of Rupaul’s Drag Race.
The event is free and open to the public.
