September 16, 2024 – The Decatur Police Department are seeking help from the community in identifying a group of vandals.
During the overnight hours between Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th several individuals vandalized the area surrounding the 9/11 Memorial and the Beach House boardwalk in Nelson Park.
Surveillance captured three white males damaging items around the Memorial. Two of the males appear to have longer hair. These two were observed wearing dark-colored shirts with writing on the front and pajama pants. The third white male suspect was observed wearing a hat, and gray-colored clothing.
